A Wet Few Weeks At Hope
August 2, 2017 9:21 amTo say we have endured a lot of rain this year would be an understatement. Towards the end of June and the first half of July, we saw heavy rain for around three weeks, and our land at Hope became flooded.

We had to work on creating a canal-way here to help drain the severely waterlogged land. Slowly but surely, our efforts with the canal-way did the trick, and we managed to clear the land of water.
That meant by the middle of July we were able to resume planting our nursery cane at Hope as intended. We continued throughout the month and aim to have the land here fully planted with cane – weather permitting – by the end of August.
